Fernando Guérard is a sculptor, mixed-media artist, educator, and designer whose work moves between traditional craftsmanship, new technologies, public commemoration, and conceptual inquiry.
Working across bronze, wood, cardboard, glass, found materials, photography, and digital fabrication, he develops objects and installations that carry both personal memory and collective history.

Artistic approach
Material as memory
Materials in Fernando Guérard’s work are rarely neutral. Fallen trees preserve the memory of a hurricane. Discarded cardboard becomes anatomy and animal form. Family names become physical structures.
Glass, words, wood, metal, fiber, and found objects carry histories that extend beyond their original function. Through construction, modeling, carving, casting, and assemblage, familiar materials are transformed into objects of reflection.
